Hi all;

I am using PB 2019 R2 B2323 with either an Oracle 12g or 18 back end (we support both). I am trying to deploy the new ribbon bar in PowerServer (2019 Build 2170.00 64bit), using the XML file format. I am trying to figure out how to include this XML file to show the ribbon bar, but have had no success so far.

Should I be creating the Ribbon bar using PB script, or how/where should this XML file be deployed? ( I have put it into the the Deploy External Files in the Application Profile Configuration, non registered)

Ok thanks Gentlemen for your responses. I was looking for this info, but guess I missed it in the documentation. I will explore the OO option Chris.

Stay safe.

Hi Bryant;

   As Armeen said .. not supported in PS until PS2021.

   Suggestion: I have been building my own ribbon-bars for over a decade as just plain nested user objects. Not only are they then pure OO in design (and inheritable) - they also work 100% in either PS Web or Mobile Apps.

Food for thought. HTH

Regards ... Chris

TIP: in the UO approach .. use DWO's instead of PB native controls and then the entire custom built- UO ribbonbar becomes ZOOMABLE too!!!! No problems either utilizing the new Theme feature on the UO's. ;-)

I think it would be awesome if some of the ribbon controls were available as full controls that can be placed on UO or Window objects. For example picture button without border that highlights when the mouse moves over with the option of a chevron at the bottom that indicates a popup menu.

RibbonBar not yet supported in PowerServer.  We are working on this for PowerServer 2021.
