Yes, you can install PBv10x through PBv12,6 on a Windows 10 VM or PC. I don't have a Windows 11 device, but I willassume it behaves in the same manner as Win 10.

1. Install PB normally. That means to C:\Program Files (x86)\Sybase.

2. Run the Stand-Alone SYSAM installer into the C:\Users\<yourname>\sysam\SYSAM_2_0

3. Copy the contents of C:\Users\olan.knight\sysam\SYSAM-2_0\bin\binIPv6 into the C:\Users\olan.knight\sysam\SYSAM-2_0\bin folder, replacing the three objects.

4. Check the dates in the BIN folder, they should match this:

5. ENSURE you have a valid Sybase license and it's located in the LICENCES folder (above).

6. Run SYSAM.

7.  Rum lmgrd.exe and re-read your license file.

8. Run PowerBuilder. Specify the license type. Click OK and restart PB, and you should be good to go.

Great information, "short-timer"! I'm sure it will prove to be very helpful.

Installing it won't be a problem, whether you can license it is the problem. PB 12.6 and older belongs to SAP and they no longer sell or support PowerBuilder.

Hi.

I've never heard. But this is something related to SAP and not Appeon...

Andreas.
