The help for the new ApplyTheme function says that you need to deploy the theme180 folder. This is not mentioned by the 'PowerBuilder runtime files' topic.

So my question is, does the theme180 folder need to be deployed with applications if the theme is set in the application object or only when updated at runtime by the ApplyTheme function?

Hi Roland;

  I checked with Engineering last night and yes, you must deploy the "ThemeNNN" folder as a sub-folder of where you have deployed your App's EXE.

   There are no current plans to integrate this with the PB run-time and the PB Packager utility. Hence, the "theme" deployment will be an all manual operation per the GA release.

Regards ... Chris

I added a bug asking that the deployment of the theme files be added to the deployment files help topic. Currently it is only mentioned in the ApplyThemes topic.

FYI: The Documentation Team is now adding this to the deployment part of the PB help! ;-)

According to the section "To make the selected theme effective"

.... you must copy the "theme180" folder (just like the other resource files) to the root of the application installation directory.

I can confirm that the theme is not applied when the folder is not present (I set it in the application object).

I figured that the folder had to be deployed when set in the application object. The problem is that the help item that spells out the deployment files doesn't mention themes.
