Resolved .prp files not reflecting correct checkout date

Hi:

In December of 2018 one of our developers migrated us to PB 2017 R3 build 1858.  For whatever reason he experienced some version issues.

Now, almost 16 months later, I have at least two instances where the checkout date in the .prp reflects the migration to PB 2017 date, however those objects were checked out on 02/21/2020.  I verified this by reviewing our Source Code Control log files.

 

Can you give me any idea how this could happen?  I moving our source code to a new repository and I want to make sure I am aware of any potential gotchas before I pull the trigger.

The .prp files are from PB Native. Maybe you should start using a real source control system.

Good morning Roland.



We are using PB Native and it is our goal to be on GIT within the next six months. However, before we move anywhere I want to make sure we do not do something silly like wreck out source code.

Hey Mary Jane,

A couple of questions to make sure I understand what you are asking:

  • What source control product are you using?
  • Where in PowerBuilder or the source control system do you see the date that seems wrong?

There are so many dates in so many places that I may give completed wrong answer if you look at different date that I'm talking about.
