Printing on Azure VM is very slow compared to lcitrix or local.  We are on 2022 R3 build 3289.  A report that is really slow for us is a Composit DW.

Thanks

Hi Andy

It's very difficult to answer such a generic question, so to try and help I have some questions:

  1. Where is the printer located? What type of printer?
  2. What network infrastructure is the print passing through?
  3. If you Save to PDF locally on the Azure VM is it slow?
  4. Can you print that PDF on the printer quickly?

Regards

David

Hi Andy,

We are also using the Azure VM environment internally, and unfortunately, we have not encountered any performance issues when using Composite DW. I suggest you create a small test case to verify whether the problem can be reproduced. If it can, please provide us with the reproduction case for verification and analysis.

Additionally, is your Composite DW loading external resources through a network path? If so, please try changing it to a local network drive mapping and see if that resolves the issue.

Regards,
