PowerBuilder 2017 R3 will include the offline mobile database feature.  This version is scheduled to release July 31, 2018.

Hi Gimmy;

      The version of PowerServer Mobile that comes with PB 2017 does not include the "offline database" feature. This is only available in the paid PowerServer 2017 version of the software which is a separately purchased product.

Hi Chris
I do not need to work with the db offline, but I need to work without a net connection.
The test I'm doing is an application that works stand alone.

Hi Gimmy,

PowerServer Mobile (PB Edition) does not Support the Mobile Offline Capability. That means that you can only deploy Offline Mobile apps with other editions of PowerServer. You can find out more about this here: https://www.appeon.com/support/documents/appeon_online_help/pb2017/release_bulletin_for_pb/ch04.html

I hope this helps.

Hi Gimmy,

As you are not using the offline database capability, which is not currently supported by the PowerServer Mobile(PB Edition), just go ahead and uncheck offline mode. Your app can still run without a net connection after the initial download.

Hi Chris

Test: I generated an SDI application without a DB connection with the powerbuilder wizard and fed it to Powerserver without the 'offline' option. I have configured the application on Appeon Workspace (on line mode). I disabled WIFI. At this point, if I run the application, a message is answered: 'Timeout was reached'
