Hi,

Appeon 2022 R2 building application to be deployed to the Powerserver .

When I set the ini not to overwrite (see picture attached) it still over writes client ini files.

Ideally I  dont want to overwrite all the client ini files when I deploy an update.

But this seems to happen even though I have set it not to update ini.

Any help would be appreciated?

Hi Marc,

You can work around this problem by putting the ini file in the ini directory into the application root directory.

In addition, we recommend that you submit this problem to our ticket system(https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/newbug) so that we can track it.

Regards,

David

Hi Marc;

I cannot replicate this issue on my W10 / W11 test machines. Can you tell us ...

  • PB build that you are using.
  • Web Server that you are using.
  • O/S version & build.
  • Did you check to make sure that your CAL was built from the same PB/PS build?
  • Have you tried the same using a new / different Project Object?
  • Is your App 32 or 64 bit?
  • etc

Regards .. Chris
