Hi,

Im configuring one of my powerbuilder desktop app into web format. The functionalities is almost the same and needed minor adjustments, but the UI is not entirely deployed as it is on the desktop version.

For example:

On desktop version, the value of the transparency is 0 and has back color of black but when it was migrated on web and mobile, the static text has a black border and filled in white.

I tried using st_1.transparency = 0 on the open event of this window.

What should I do to make this transparent just like on the desktop version.

Also this happen is some of my datawindows.

Hi Lemuel,
Transparent value for system control is unsupported (i.e. font -> backcolor -> transparent for statictext). In order to mimic the transparency, you can set same background for statictext and window.
Best,

Hi Lemuel;

   As a workaround if you need your App(s) to support a proper transparency for a background colour or image behind your text or data entry entries, you can replace them with a DataWindow which does support this in PowerServer.

FYI: DW example (a quick test) with transparent ST and SLE's using an image in the background layer of the DWO. Transparency is maintained in a PS App  ...

Food for thought!  HTH

Regards ... Chris

This is a great workaround. i've been thinking about this last night because most of the transparency issues were found on the form where a datawindow is place except the login. thanks for this chris!
