Hello All,

Any one have any experience using FireBird Database with PowerServer

I know that we must use the Java version and set it the cache to Other but i will like to know if someone have done it and how simple is.

the other solution will be to use WebService and call it from the PB code in PowerServer

Hi Andres, although PowerServer replicates much of the functionality of PowerBuilder, it's internal technology, architecture, and implementation is quite different.  So while often times I do hear customers using all sorts of database with PowerBuilder, it is quite risky to use a database not officially listed in the PowerServer system requirements.

Armeen
