Hi there,

we are using Powerbuilder Classic.
In large Powerscripts the Editor is not very helpful.
Features like codefolding would be very helpful.
Are there any plans to enhance the editor to display source like e.g., notepad++ or ms code does?

We have already added features like this to PowerBuilder 2019 for the new C# IDE.  We are also looking to enhance the existing PowerScript IDE.  It would be helpful if you could email product@appeon.com with your ideas of what specific enhancement is most critical.  We are looking for short list of most critical enhancements to make in the revisions of PB 2019.  Thanks.

Got this disappointing answer:

Hi André, Thank you for feedback. From our evaluation, the development workload for these features in PowerScript IDE is heavy.
And we concern the changes will make the PowerBuilder unstable.
So the features will not be supported in PowerScript IDE. The good news is, your suggested features are supported in our new SnapDevelop C# IDE,
which is included in the new version of PowerBuilder 2019.

Hi Andre, There may be some misunderstanding. The product management team is just trying to set expectations that the PowerScript Editor is not going to have all of the exact same features (e.g. the cold folding you mention) in short time. But as I said, we do plan to make some enhancements to it.
