Is it possible to generate an application for PowerClient and deploy the EXE and object level PBD files manually without installing the launcher?

I get that it allows for deploying changes continuously but that is more useful for in house apps.

Using PowerClient to automatically deploy changes has a big issue: coordinating database changes that are required by the code changes.

Interesting point!

The advantage of Powerclient can still exist, your database changes only have to be executed on one (or a few) servers. After that, you can then update the powerclient.

Just curiosityr: Why is it less of a problem for 'In House' apps?

For in-house, there is only one database. We have several hundred customers, all with their own database.

For your customers they would each have their own Web server and you could run it on same machine that is hosting their database. You would control when updates happen on a per customer basis by your decision to release an updated app package to a particular customer.

Hi Roland;

  No. The CAL is an integral part of the PC solution as it also controls: External Files, PB runtime, etc as well as the APP.
