This is regarding one of the PowerBuilder applications that I support. This application is based on an older version of PowerBuilder, probably 6/6.5. We need to upgrade the application to a supportable and stable version of PowerBuilder, preferably v2019. However, we do not have the source code(.PBL files) for the application present with us, we just have the executables(.PBD files). So, just wanted to enquire, is there a way the executables could be reverse engineered to obtain the source code for the application so that we could use it for the version upgradation?

Any thoughts/inputs are highly welcome :)

Hi Swaty,

This question has already been asked many times before.  Here is a thread I suggest you read carefully: https://community.appeon.com/index.php/qna/q-a/recovering-pbl-objects-from-pbds
