Hello,

PB 2017 R3 Build 1915

Issue 1:

1.  Open a datawindow
2.  Close the property pane, if open
3.  Select a numeric field and a string field
4.  Right-click, Select Properties
5.  Powerbuilder hangs in Windows 7,   Powerbuilder closes in Windows 10.

Issue 2:

1.  Open a datawindow
2.  Select one numeric field and a numeric computed column
3.  Right-click, select properties
4.  Set Format
5.  Check whether the format is set for both columns
The computed column's format is not set.  Why?

A sample application is attached herewith.

Hi Sivaprakash ;

FYI: I just tried both of your scenarios on my PB2017R3 build 1915 using my W10 test PC's. No weird behaviour in the returning properties pane, no crash, and no abrupt close. In short, I was not able to reproduce these issues.

Regards ... Chris

Yes, I see the ticket. Looks like those problems are recreatable even back into PB 12.6. :-(

Those issues were not there in PB 11.5. Don't know in which version these bugs were introduced.

Chris,

It happens here in my Windows 7 computer(s).  I tried it 3 other Windows 7 computers, in all three computers, I face this issue.   I've attached the video to reproduce the same at your end.

1.  While selecting the field, the properties pane should be CLOSED.
2.  Select two numeric fields and then open Properties pane.
3.  Once opened at the point, we could not close the window.

Is there any way to send/upload this as a video (in MP4 format)?

Happiness Always
BKR Sivaprakash

Sorry, I could not attach the video as that format is not supported here.

Hi Sivaprakash.... Since it's more problem in W7 (which I no longer use), I would suggest opening a Support Ticket where or main support team can try & replicate these issues in their W7 VM's.

Chris,

Issue reported and they could reproduce it. Bug ID 4655. Thought this issue has been resolved in 2017 R3.
