Hi,

 

We are using Powerbuilder 2021 version and thinking of having the UI theme implementation to the entire application as part of modernisation. However even with the recent release of Powerbuilder 2022 R3 we see that there are certain limitations on Datawindow picture buttons and they does not get affected by the selected theme. There seems to be an alternative for this issue as mentioned in the below video but this does not seem to be effective as the change needs to be done on each and every datawindow for all picture buttons.

Is there any plan to include the Theme implementation be effective for Datawindow picture buttons as well in the upcoming PB upgrade releases?

If so please let us know as we do not want to have rework on something that is in plan for Appeon.

Hi Sailaja,

 

PB UI Theme is mainly for UI optimization of the PB control itself. It doesn’t include the content of the control. The Picture button is a special control. You can choose a picture provided by PB or use your own picture. So the content cannot be optimized by UI Theme. (PB itself has provided a new set of pictures, but users need to modify their applications themselves and select a new image)

Thanks for the question!

Currently, in the dwo-object section, only dwo-button support disabled status. You can also achieved it in the expression of the dw column. We will consider optimizing it in subsequent theme enhancements.
