Good morning.
I am installing on a PB2021 computer.
The program crashed during installation. I promptly relaunched the program, but it presents me with the following situation (see image).
The installation did not take place and I am no longer able to install or uninstall

How can I do ?

Thanks in advance for your reply

Gimmy

Hi Gimmy,

Do you still remember when did the installation program crash? Please help provide a zip file of the following folder for analysis:

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\AppeonInstallLog

You can delete the items below then install again.

1. Delete the following registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Sybase\PowerBuilder\21.0

2. Delete the following installation directories:

   1) C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\PowerBuilder 21.0  (Note: If you changed the default installation directory, you should delete the one you set for installation.)

   2) C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information\{23089372-C7F8-4044-A2B8-50C2FF4AE926}

Regards,

Aubrey

Hi Gimmy;

  According to your screen capture, the installation should then continue for the remaining pieces by just hitting the "next" CB.

  Are you installing via the Appeon Installer (online) or offline using the downloaded packages route?

hello Cris.

I tried to continue but it doesn't install IDE.

In the end I find only the other products.

(i'm using offline installation)

Are there any registry keys to delete?

Yes, there certainly would be. I would use the RegEdit utility an scan for any entries that refer to "PowerBuilder 21.0". and delete them. Then remove the actual install folder and all of its sub-entries, reboot & then try the installation again.

FWIW: I would recommend using the offline Install Package route next time and run them "As Admin".

Hi Gimmy,

Have you installed PB 2021 successfully?

Did the installation program ever crash again? If yes, please open a ticket  for this issue at Appeon Support System. We can schedule a remote session there to have a look at this issue.

Regards,

Aubrey
