Appeon - want some free marketing advice? I suggest you should skip the name PowerBuilder 2018 and rename it PowerBuilder 2019.

Psychologically it is much better to receive a 2019 product at the end of 2018 or early 2019. How many car makers release their 2018 models in January 2019?

I am in 100% agreement with your idea. The user conference in November 2018 should be the kickoff of the hype for PB 2019. Having a year based version number that is in the past makes no sense. To sell into non customers or companies who used PB long ago, you have to convince the managers who nothing about programming.

The minor version number in the environment variable and where the version is displayed in the IDE should be in sync with the 'revision number'.

I don't know if he reads these comments, or can you forward to Armeen Mazda?

I don't read all posts and comments but I do my best to keep my finger on the pulse of the community.  As far as product naming, PB 2018 is already set so we aren't going to change that, but we will consider this feedback for the next major version after PB 2018.  Thanks.
