Hello Customer support:

I have documented the question in the below attached document. The question is related to the Power Client properties access via code.

I  appreciated your help on this topic. Thank you. :-)

If this option doesn't exist in PB . This can be a very good addition to the PB product.

Regards

Ranjith.

Chris:

Thank you for your response. :-)

I have created a datawindow with the info of Power Client project. And used it in the About Screen.

Need to maintain the version info at both the places for every release. Kind of overhead. But will be nice if these is taken care in PB itself by just a function call.

Regards

Ranjith

Hi Ranjith;

This is from my free STD Integrated Framework. This code works on all 32bit or 64bit, P-code or M-code compiled EXE's, PowerClient App EXE's and now PowerServer based EXE's, as follows:

Let me know if you would like to download the framework and extract this code for your use. If so, I can point you to the Object Class, method and MS-Window's APIs that I am using. You are then free to assimilate the code as you like.  ;-)

Regards ... Chris

Armeen:

Good Morning.

Nice to get the response right from you. It will be nice addition to the PB Product. Yes, I will write code to achieve the same but there will be two places to modify for every version release.

Thank you for quick response.

Regards

Ranjith

Take a look at what Chris suggested. This is not standard feature of PowerBuilder, but using the technique he mentioned maybe it can solve your issue.

Hi Ranjith, I'm not aware of standard feature to allow you to access these properties from PowerScript.  I know you don't want to have redundancy, but i think you will have to code yourself.  Sorry about that.

Best regards,
Armeen
