Hi Team,

We have successfully deployed one of our PB application to powerclient build. Please let me know if there any solution for the below scenario.

In external file tab, we have added the ini file in INI configuration and set the update strategy as 'Merge Update'. Similarly is there any option for setting the folder or sub folder too. Because when we build the powerclient build file we will have some folders with .csv or .xls templates. While running the application this templates will be updating. If we are doing some changes in PB objects then the user try to get the latest changes then these folders and updated templates will replaced with folders and templates uploaded in the external files section.

Please let us know if there will be any alternative solution to handle this issue.

Regards

Rajkumar

Hi Rajkumar;

  I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. I'm interpreting your statement as these template files are dynamic. If that is the case, I wonder if instead of placing these with the App that you consider using - for example: Store them on a file server; Store them in a DB as Blobs; Store them on a server using Web Service calls to access; etc. This would allow your App & your App support people to dynamically update these without redeploying the App. Food for thought.

The solution for deploying as Internet app instead of client/server is PowerServer not PowerClient: https://www.appeon.com/products/powerserver
