I didn't know if this should be "how to" or advice.

It would be great if a panel in a ribbon menu could be reused in different categories. That way I could create a generic record navigation panel (first, next, previous, last, save as, filter, sort, etc) and attach it to multiple categories. Obviously the event would have to pass in the category it was contained within, but I think this would be a very helpful addition to the functionality of the ribbon menu.

Hi Mark;

   FWIW:  I've been building RibbonBar's for over a decade using User Objects. In that respect, they support inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, and MS-Window accelerator keys too. They work great with the new Theme feature too and ... you can work visually an all the properties, scripts, look & feel, etc using the standard UO painter in the IDE - not a separate tool (very productive)   ;-)

Regards ... Chris

Hmm, now if there was an object generator that would take the standard ribbon code and generate your own custom objects that could be a fun project.
