Hi,

is it possible to play mpf4 files from the webbrowser control in PB 2019 R3?

I just tried it but i only get a black screen.

It says in the documentation that local files are not supported, but they do work.

E. g. just drop the file on the control.

Has anyone an idea?

Regards,

Ferdinand

Hi Ferdiand;

  FYI: I have a multi-media object in my new framework release. It's a multimedia object called "vs_ole_media_player_master" located in the STD_FC_BaseW.pbl library. It will play AVI, MIDI, MP3, M3U, WKV, MPEG, MP4, MOV, (and many more types) from either a File or a URL address, as follows:

 The Multimedia object was part of my recent 2020 release of the STD framework and is also included in the 2021R1 release ( http://chrispollach.blogspot.com/2021/01/2020r2.html ) for PB2019R2 and a "beta" version of the framework (just uploaded this past weekend) for PB2019R3. The only reason that I have not advertised this object class yet is that I have not developed a proper Demo App for this new feature. The screen capture that you see above is just my early prototype.

Regards ... Chris
