HI Benjamin;

   PowerServer Mobile does not support the flashlight functionality at this time. However, PS Mobile's AWS does provide Cordova plug-in access. AWS does map the popular Cordova plugins for you - but, AFAIK - not this particular one. You can install a Cordova plug-in yourself though and then wtite some jScript to acces it. There are quite a few Cordova plug-ins that can control the flashlight, for example:  Click here.

  This would make a great feature enhancement. Please open a support ticket for this and request it as a new requirement. The Support Team will then add this to Engineering's enhancement list.

Thanks Chris ! I will open a support ticket for the support team to look at. I think an additional argument to of_read function as an option to turn flashlight on or off will be great. Currently one can not scan in a poorly lit room or in the dark, unlike when you open the camera you can turn on the flashlight to take picture or video in the dark.

Hi Benjamin,

I agree with Chris. You may find more information about Cordova Plugins and PowerBuilder/PowerServer here: https://www.appeon.com/support/documents/appeon_online_help/2016/workarounds_and_api_guide/ch03.html
