We switched to PowerBuilder PB2019 R2 Build 2353 and today was the first time I had to change a datawindow.... :-)

When I open a DW in the DW-Painter all is ok and I can see data in the "Preview"-Section...

But if I want to change the datasource I get the following error:

"Table "xx" has no columns; possible invalid table format. Please check to see if the active DB Profile is correct.  Do you want to continue in graphic mode?"

Any idea ?

Johann

Hi Johann;

  I never needed to change the INI file. I just make sure that my User ID has DBO authority and then specify the DBO name n the DB Profile's "System" tab page, as follows:

Hi Chris,

for our PostgresDB the "Extended Attributes" are "Disabled"....

But the new pbodb190.ini changed the property "PBTableOwner" from 'No' to "Yes"

Hi Chris,

the PB2019-Installation writes a new pbodb190.ini and there are some differences for the PostgreSQL db in it. I changed it back to the old settings and now it works again...

Thank you!

Johann

Hi Johann;

   This is typically caused by a table access restriction setting in the DBMS itself. Are you using the same User & system table settings in the new PB DB profile vs the previous version over your DBMS? If the settings are the same, then is the DBMS instance you are connecting to the same in 2019R2 vs previous PB version?

Regards ... Chris
