All...

We are progressing nicely with migrating from PB 9 to 2017.

Taking this time to also do some code cleanup and noticing that the "Delete Event" is disabled.

in PB9, having an event open, you can right-click on the event name and choose Delete Event.

In 2017, it is greyed out.

I created a brand new event, and also could not delete it.

We removed all the code in the event, but that seems to leave the definition (which you can delete via Edit Source)

Is there a new way to delete events?

You should be able deleting it through the right mouse button menu in the script part of the event. The menu entry in the "header" is disabled.

Normally that means the event is 'standard' or defined in an ancestor.

It is possible that the syntax of your object wasn't exactly correct. The older versions were less strict.

Thanks Roland...

We tested this with a Sandbox PBL, not under any SCC, and I created a new "virgin" event (if I can use that term), and only put a comment in it.

Even after deleting the content of the event, the definition remains, just move to the bottom of the list.

the only way to actually delete it is in Edit Source.
