Description of PB Universal includes Appeon Web Apps*(*Server licensed seperately).

Appeon Web FAQs - Appeon Web is not included in any edition of PB2017.

What does it mean? How much is "Server licensed seperately" ?

Hi Dainis;

   No, the Appeon Web product is not included with the PB 2017 Universal edition. The PB Universal edition only includes the Appeon Mobile product. However in PB 2017 Universal edition, the PowerServer Toolkit that gets installed into the PB IDE will handle both the Appeon Web & Appeon Mobile product interaction. So when you also buy the Appeon Web add-on, the IDE is ready for both.

   For Appeon Web pricing, please request a quote (click here).

Note: For those IT shops who are using Appeon Web and plan to upgrade to PB 2017, you must be running on Appeon Web 2016 build 1119 or higher in order for the PB 2017 IDE to be compatible. Also, you must upgrade to PB 2017 Universal Edition to be compatible with Appeon Web as well. Lower editions are not compatible.

Regards ... Chris

Chris already explained in his post to contact Appeon for pricing.  You can directly email sales@appeon.com.  The pricing varies depending on how many servers you need, whether you need clustering/failover, and how many Web users you will have.  So you need to work with a sales person to make sure you have the correct pricing info for your case.

Hi Roland, The naming convention was set based on our roadmap.  If you recall, we have plans in PB 2019 to introduce Desktop Cloud Apps.  We don't want to have to rename the Universal Edition a couple years down the road when that comes out.  Also, as Chris pointed out, the Universal Edition is the only version that is compatible with Appeon Web, so in a way the naming is accurate still.  But I understand your point that people can have different assumptions and expectations, so the best we can is making it clear upfront before they buy (in the pricing table).
