Resolved PB closes when trying to set appicon

Hello everyone, 

Im trying to set my appicon for a PB2019 R2 project, but when I click on browse and chose the .ico file, PB closes suddenly. The image is a 256x256 ICO file, and it's located on a folder that is reacheable for my project but Im not able to set it. If I do it by "Edit Source" I can save the Application Object correctly but when I try to run it, it just closes the PB. I tried with ICO files that I already used on other projects and I know they work but still not working.

The image is the problem I posted this on Appeon Support, I don't know why but this image makes every version of PB crash.

Hi Pau;

   That was an issue with the 1st GA release of PB - build 2323 but fixed in build 2328 or higher. The current R2 MR / build is 2353. So if you are on that very early PB 2019 build, that might explain your icon issue (just a guess).

Hi Chris,

Im on build 2353. But I think that it's not a build issue, it might be a picture issue.

Hi Pau;

I saw your Support Ticket this AM and the attached Test Case. I was able to replicate your IDE crashing issue on my PB 2019R2 based test PC's with W10.

Is it only happening on a particular .ICO or all of them?  

What happens if you copy the .ICO file to your local C: and then try to add it from there?

The issue is happening with all the .ICO files that I have. My file it's inside of a C:\ folder.

Are the files on your own machine or remote machine?

Does another computer with PowerBuilder installed have the same problem?

My guess is PowerBuilder is not able to read from the location you saved the files or your PowerBuilder installation is corrupted. Because certainly there is no such widespread problem that all .ICO files will cause crash otherwise many customers would be complaining.

Hi Armeen,

I tried with other size .ICO files and they work. With a 128x128 ICO it's working but the icon don't looks good. What should be the size for the PB app icon?
