when i try to open the response window from our application using PB 2019 R3.It is opening correctly all the button controls were placed correspondingly. Please find the attached screenshot1.

But when i try to open the same window in PB2022 R3 response window layout seems to appear differently. Please find the attached screenshot2.

kindly provide your thoughts and how to proceed with this.

Thanks,

Tharani S

Do you set window size in windows open event?

There is a known bug (or feature) in 2022 R3 with not resizeable windows. If you set window size in open event the window size will be smaller as a window with the same unchanged values.

Hi.

Take a look at Window size differences - - Upgrading PowerBuilder Applications (appeon.com) and the links mentioned there. This is known behavior and it is documented.

Andreas.

In our application we are using more than 100 windows which consists of main, response and child window, AS we gone through the appeon document for which PB2022 R3 height and width of the certain windows has been changed.

changing the height and width in all windows seems to be tedious process and also it will take more time.

Is there any good sign that, PowerBuilder will provide any update so that this problem will be solved in the future build without any code changes.

Kindly provide update on this.

Thanks,

Tharani S
