I'm running orcascr220.exe and it's failing because it can't load a DLL.
See the error below:

Appeon (R) OrcaScript interpreter version 22.0
Using ANSI source file Build/cs_land.orca.
Error: Failed to load library: PBORC.DLL.

The PBORC.DLL is in the same folder as the orcascr220.exe and the containing folder is in the PATH.

This is on running on a windows docker container.
This is the image being used: mcr.microsoft.com/dotnet/sdk:6.0-windowsservercore-ltsc2019

The PowerBuilder runtime and utilities were installed in the container using the 2022 silent installer.

Any ideas why it can't load?

Thanks for the reference Miguel. I read through it but I didn't see anything that sparked anything. It was for PB 2021 and not PB 2022, although I seem to have the same issue with PB 2021.

I'm going to log a support ticket to have them take a look at it.

Gene,

have you been able to resolve your issues with building in a servercore container?

Hi Mike,

I have not. I logged a support ticket with Appeon and was told it was not supported so I stopped trying.

do you run any of your PB applications on a windows core container? or were you just trying with automated builds?

Hi,

I'm not sure if this could give you any idea: https://docs.appeon.com/pb2021/whats_new/Separating_Runtime_from_IDE.html

Hi Gene;

FWIW: This sounds like a Docker container issue to me (as a 1st best guess).

Regards ... Chris
