Hello,

We are upgrading our database from Oracle 11.2 to Oracle 19c. We have external function (32-bit) inside the Oracle DB server and use stored procedure call to call this external function.

After upgrade Oracle 19c client on PowerServer server, we cannot execute the external function properly. Can Oracle 19c compile with PowerServer ?

Product Information
Product Edition: ENTERPRISE (Appeon)
Product Version: Appeon PowerServer 2017 Build 1858.00 64-bit Edition
Operating System: Windows 8.1/Server 2012 R2

Thanks,

Jon

Greetings, Jon -

According to the documentation for PowerServer 2017, it appears that Oracle 19c is not supported:

https://docs.appeon.com/2017/server_configuration_guide_for_net/supported_database_drivers.html

A quick look shows that you'll need to upgrade to PowerServer 2020 to obtain support for Oracle 19c.

https://docs.appeon.com/ps2020/server_configuration_guide_for_net/supported_database_drivers.htm

In the future, it's always a good idea to verify development tool support before upgrading a database or other critical component of your production environment, particularly if you are using an older version of any development tool.

Regards, John

John is exactly right. And if on PowerServer 2020 you can reproduce the same issue, then you are eligible to open a support ticket and get help from Appeon.
