ORA-12504: TNS:listener was not given the SERVICE_NAME in CONNECT_DATA

What are the steps to do this?

It has been a few days since I have resolved this error.

I don't remember exactly what I have done, but it might have been resolved by updating the tnsnames.ora file.

Leonid is correct.

Either the service ID was not included in the TNSNAMES.ORA file or it was misspelled.
