Resolved OCR to capture and store to database using Appeon

We need to start allowing users to scan and then connect documents via a fields on the form they scanned. How anyone done this using Powerbuilder and does anyone have software recommendation.

Hi Richard;

  I did a project like this at Passport Canada for PCI compliance. I built both Native PB and PowerServer Web apps that used the Tesseract open source OCR engine for that.  FYI: https://tesseract-ocr.github.io/tessdoc/Downloads.html

Note: I have an example App with basic code working if you are interested in having a look.

FYI: I found the OCR demo App. It was last migrated into PB 2017R3.

What PB version & build are you using currently?

I'm also interested in as I'm currently looking for an implementation of Tesseract in PowerBuilder. The aim is to automate some heavy and repetitive tasks by using some OCR.
