Hello all - I tried to search for similar postings on this issue - could not find exact match.
Our Network group is trying to upgrade to Oracle Client 19 and we are currently already migrated to Oracle 19c without any problems, with PB 2017 R2 build 1769. We have no problems connecting with our current Oracle Client, but we are getting an error on trying to sign on to Oracle with our PB application, that it cannot load the OCI.dll:
Normally in my limited experience this error occurs when the 64 bit Client only is installed and PB needs the 32 bit.
In our case the Network group has loaded both versions in the following directories:
Is this enough for PB to find the correct 32 bit DLL? I don't recall trying to have both versions on the same client in the past, so this is all a bit beyond my experience, if it's even doable.
Also, normally in the past, PB has been upwardly compatible - and Oracle Client - on using latest Client with an older version of PB, but of course new Client functions introduced will not be used by PB - but is this perhaps not the case now with this version of the Client?
We are using Oracle Client 12 now, unless I am mistaken, including with Oracle 19c and no problems.
Any help appreciated, thanks.
