Resolved Obfuscation for .NET Assemblies with .NET Datastores

Hi,

We plan to deploy .NET assemblies with .NET Datastores in the near future. The datastores were created using PB 2019 R2 build 2328, if that is relevant.

Does Appeon recommend any obfuscation tools? If not, has anyone had experience with such utilities?

Hi Don;

   Since SnapDevelop is just another IDE over C# - this Visual Studio feature should work (I think) ...

   There are also many 3rd party obfuscation tools out there are well. For example: Xenocode, Reactor.Net, SmartAssembly , Dotfuscator Pro, Confuser, etc)

I could be wrong but I think Microsoft might provide this as part of .NET framework: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.reflection.obfuscationattribute?view=netcore-3.1

As far as third-party options, I believe Microsoft distributes Dotfuscator with Visual Studio so that might be a good one to look at: https://www.preemptive.com/products/dotfuscator/overview
