We need to print shipping labels in a customer project. If possible, we want to map this via the datawindows. Does anyone know of a way we can use NVE / SSCC barcodes on datawindows? Is there an external tool for this?

Check this out:

https://www.tec-it.com/en/download/tbarcode/Download.aspx

The PowerBuilder example is PB 10 but includes a PBL so it should migrate to your version.

In past applications I've worked on the Barcode was loaded as a Font on the workstations.  The field in the datawindow used to produce the barcode was then set up  to use that specific font.

Is this the type of thing you are looking for?

Hi Matt,

We also use this method to output barcodes on various templates. However, the NVE barcodes are specific requirements. The code is changed within a field. It's all code 128 - but there is a change between 128A, 128B and 128C. There are tools for integrating such barcodes into Word, Excel, etc. There used to be tools for powerbuilders, barcodes on datawindows. However, these seem to have reached their EOF with PB12.

Regards

Rudi

Hi Roland,

Thank you for your hint. This product's solution is excellent for our problem. We will put it to use (PB2019R3).

Thanks

Rudi
