Hi all,

I am making some tests with Git and PB2017R3.

I created a repo on a Server with Bonobo Git. On my machine I built a new workspace & target with just one PBL and pushed it on Git, all OK. Each object shows a green bullet which means the object is correctly synched on Git, I guess (see attachment: my_pc.png).

I want a colleague of mine to work on the same project.

So on her PC we:

  • opened PB
  • selected File | Connect to Workspace
  • put connection info (she has another account on Bonobo Git which is marked as contributor of the repo)
  • entered the target dir and pressed OK.

The workspace, target, pbl and objects have been correctly downloaded from Git but the objects don't show any green bullet (see attachment: my_colleague_no_green_bullets.png). So if she makes modifications to any object she is not able to commit/push.

Are we missing something? What can we do to overcome this issue?

Thank you much!
Luca

The issue happens only on Windows 10 Home, when we try to checkout the repo in a C drive subfolder out of the "home" user's directory (C:\Users\): if we checkout inside the home dir (for instance the Desktop, or the Documents folder) everything works fine.

On Windows 10 Pro there's no such issue.

So the problem for us is solved.

Hello Tom,

we made all the tests you told me about.

The issue remains in all the four cases you mentioned. Since it's a test project, if you want I can create a user for you on my repo and let you try. My PB version is 2017R3 build 1858.

Thank you much,
Luca

Hi Luca,

This is strange. We've never seen such issue. It might have something to do with her environment.

Does she get the same issue if she check out the project to a different folder on a different drive?

Does it make any difference if she starts PB using run as administrator?

Do you get the same issue if you check out the project to a different folder on your machine?

Do you get the same issue if you check out the project on another machine?

Regards,

Tom Jiang
