Resolved .NET Web Sercice (SOAP) and PB2021

Hi,

Currently in PB2019R2, we are looking to migrate to the latest PB2021 build.

We have several .NET Web Service (SOAP) initially developed in PB12.

We know that they are no more supported, but we don't have the time and the knowledge to migrate to C#, so we're a bit stucked with these WS.

So I have two questions : 

1. is the target ".NET Web Service" still available in PB2021, to edit the code and compile ?

2. Is it still possible to create PB .NET Runtine Packager.  In PB2019, the option was no more visible, but it was possible to make it available again with .ini file modification (don't remember which file needs to be edited).

Yes, it is still in 2021 as obsolete feature.  Obsolete means not supported but still in the product.

You don't need to recreate the rules in C#. As I mentioned, we provide a DataWindow in C# and automatic code converter that should handle 80% automatically.

I'm sorry, our product management team has decided to discontinue this for security reasons so there is no chance it will be still available in PB 2022.

Hi ,

So, it will be totally removed ? It will be impossible to modify/compile existing Webservices or just to create new ones ?

What about the multiple runtime functionality ? it won't be possible to go back to 2019R3 and compile the webservice ?

AFAIK at this time ... the old .Net 2.0 WS feature is to be totally removed in PB 2022.
