We have some very complex reports that include rotated text and many bitmaps in a grid format.   We are currently using Amyuni PDF to generate these as PDF with great results.  I have used NativePDF to create PDFs for simple reports that seem ok however with more complex datawindows the generation is slow and the resulting PDF file cannot be opened by Adobe Acrobat!    Any one else had this problem?  Does anyone know if this is being addressed in the upcoming EBF?

Thanks,

Hi,

Kindly can you please check the return values and see if the generation was interrupted or failed, or are there any errors?

Can it be opened with PDF tools other than Adobe Acrobat?

The coming EBF will fix a couple of performance issues related to NativePDF however none of them is related to this one (cannot be opened) as there's no such issue reported before.

We'd be appreciated if you could submit a bug with a reproducible test case in http://www.appeon.com/standardsupport.

We will disclose the bug ID if the fix of this bug can be included in the maintenance release later.

Regards,

Mark Lee

The return code was 1.  A PDF was created however when I try to open it using Adobe Acrobat Reader 2017 I get the error:  'There was an error opening the document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.'    Different datawindows saved using the same method are opened by Acrobat just fine.   I will create a support issue...
