Resolved mouse events in a picture button

Hi Guys,

Again me haha, this time is about the mouse events of a picture button control, i'm using a picture button for change the look style, but i have a little problem and i'm seen that with those buttons the effect when the mouse is captured isn't works like already happen with the command buttons normaly.

i attached a video with an example of this case

PD: currently, i'm coding an event with the event id: pbm_nchittest and this event is capturing when the mouse is hover for the button, but i don´t know what's the opposite event for that

Make sure the Windows Classic Style checkbox in your project painter is unchecked, and the Use Windows Classic Style on XP in System Options is unchecked:

Hi, Daniel -

The PictureButton control contains a PowerTipText property (it's located near the bottom of the Properties tab in the Window Painter). Does this not do what you need?

If not, prior to the addition of tooltip properties in many controls, Aart Onkenhout published a tooltip non-visual object, and it worked pretty well. It is still available on the web:

Click on the "PB Tips" sidebar item, then the "Adding Tooltips to Controls" topic (3rd from the bottom). You'll want the PB Version 10 (i.e., Unicode) version.

If that still isn't what you need, you might consider looking into the TrackMouseEvent Windows API function. Roland Smith's TopWizProgramming web site has a free code example called DWGridXP that utilizes this API.
