Hi Everyone,

 

Is it possible to deploy your power builder application in mobile using mssql server? Any ideas and suggestion is well appreciated. Thank you so much.

Hi Avory;

  In regards to PB & Mobile ...

  • You need the PowerServer product to deploy any PB App as a Mobile App (included with PB2017 Universal Edition).
  • SS cannot be used on the mobile device. Only SQLite and SQL Anywhere DBMS are supported currently.on mobile devices.
  • You can use SS as the main central DBMS for your mobile Apps via access from PowerServer.
  • Native PB Apps of course can utilize SS directly (as in previous PB releases).

FWIW: I use SS 2017 with my PB 2017R2 and PS 2017R2 Apps today.
