POWERBUILDER 2019 R3

 

Hi,

we use microsoft webrowser for visualize pdf file in our product.

Since 2 weeks and an update of adobe our customer have many errors message like this ?

do you have the problem ?

Hi Dave, Maybe the latest update of Adobe not compatible with old Internet Explorer.  It's good idea to move off of obsolete feature.  PowerBuilder 2019 R3 and newer supports Chromium WebBrowser control, which can display lots of things without installation of other third-party software so your app can run more reliably.

Have you opened a support ticket with test case?

Another option would be embed a PDF reader into your app instead of using web browser control and Adobe on user's machine. That way you are in control of the third-party software and updates. The way you do it today seems very risky to me.
