hi,

is there a plan when powerbuilder can compile machine-code in 64bit?

we are developing a erp-system and machine-code is faster than p-code on the clients. we are also using some external dll's, odbc, etc. and some of them will be in future only in 64bit, so we can use them anymore.

so if powerbuilder can't compile machine-code in 64bit we will have some problems.

thanks

Hi.

I guess (but I may be wrong), that machine code in x64 won't happen... If you check PowerBuilder 2025 Beta, you will see that machine code is an option only when working with workspaces and deploying to x32... The new compiler lacks that option even in x32 (Solutions vs Workspaces)...

Andreas.
