Resolved LTS version of Powerbuilder 2022

Hi Appeon Team.

Could you please confirm which build version of Powerbuilder 2022 will be marked as LTS version.

Will PB-2022 Build 1901 will be marked as LTS ?

We are looking to upgrade to Powerbuilder latest version which is LTS version, support windows 11 and Oracle 2023 support (if possible). Please suggest.

Hi Appeon Team,

 


We are planning to upgrade PowerBuilder2022 this month. Could you please let us know the most stable version of 2022 we can migrate to.

As we are looking for PowerBuilder version2022 which is compatible to Windows11. 


Please share the link for as well for downloading the software.

PB2022 Build 1900 is PB2022 R1 ?

Yes 1900 -> PB 2022 (R1). This is the current stable release you should use for PB 2022.

GA: 1878. Then two MR's: 1892 & 1900. 1900 is the current stable release you should use for PB 2022 as it did fixed some important issues.

Also i do not see the download link of Powerbuilder 2022 R2 build 2693 (Beta version) in the download center. Could you help me with the link.

 Tentative date for Powerbuilder 2022 R2 will also be helpful.

Hi Rohit;

  The current plan for a PB 2022 LTS version is in Release 3 (PB 2022 R3). The R3 release will be in the more concrete planning stages after PB 2022 R2 GA is released this summer (North America).   HTH

PB 2022 R2 has not yet been released. It is currently in customer beta testing, which I believe you can still download (but I have not verified that). I think the most current build is 2022 R2 Build 2693.

Hi Rohit;

I'm currently testing R2 beta 3 (internal release) and it's build 2790. So R2 GA will be a higher build than that.

Also, PB 2022 is based on VC++ 2019 and PB 2022 R2 is based on VC++ 2022. So we'll be moving up the Microsoft ladder when R2 goes GA.
