Appeon Team,

Currently we deploy pbdwr170.pbd file along with other runtime files and our application files. This deployment is done by our Deployment team on various dealer's machine. We are currently using PB 2017 Build 1858.I would like to know

  • is it required to deploy this file?
  • This file didn't change after 16th Mar 2018
  • What if we deploy our application without this file?
  • What contains in this file, any bug fix?

Please assist.

The documentation for the PowerBuilder Runtime Packager says that both PBDWR170.DLL and PBDWR170.PBD are both part of "Base Components" install, so it looks like they should always be deployed.  Here's a link to the documentation.

Hi Keven, I was just wondering about the same question as the OP.

There's NO pbdwr170.DLL though. Not on my pc, not when I create an msi installer.

I'll report the bug in the documentation.
