Can anyone help

It has been suggested to me that i try using an installable web application rather than the ordinary powerserver mobile, via a browser - as I have a group of users whose browser is giving problems with the plug in

Can anyone explain to me or point me in the direction of how to do this.

thanks in advance

Andrew

Hi Andrew;

   I did this video for PS2017 however, the IWA feature in PS2019 works exactly the same!

IWA Runner

IWA is short for installable Web apps. As its name suggests, it is also a Web application, and it is configured and deployed in the exact same way as the other PowerServer Web application that runs in the Web browser. The only difference is IWA app is installed as a desktop app on the client, and it can be launched directly from the desktop.

The IWA Runner can be considered as a lightweight Web browser that supports running the PowerServer IWA apps only. It must be installed on the client once.

The IWA Runner is installed in the same way as the Xcelerator Plug-in.
It can be obtained by the user by accessing the PowerServer Web App URL for the first time and adding "/iwarunner.html" to the end of the URL. The user will be automatically prompted to download and install the IWA Runner on their machine.

A secondary way to install the IWA Runner is for it to be distributed to the users internally. The developer will find the Xcelerator installer on the machine where they installed PowerServer on the following default route: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\appeon\weblibrary_ax\crossbrowser
The installer is called "appeoniwarunner.exe"
This installer can be shared with the users, to be installed on each machine where the PowerServer Web applications will be accessed.
