When I generate a web with powerbuilder, the url is always http, can I change it in some way so that it uses https protocol?

Thank you very much.

Hi Cecilia;

   Yes ... for sure! What is required is for you to generate a pair of SSL certificates - one for the PS / IIS server and one that gets deployed to the client PC's. Once these "trusted" pair of certificates have been installed into the "Certificate Store" on the PS/IIS Server and into the W7-W10 "certificate Store" on the client - then the HTTPS protocol can be invoked. Check with your IIS Admin group for more details.

HTH

Regards ... Chris

So to run a PowerServer app you have to install the browser plug-in and a security certificate?

Hi Roland - Plug-in yes ... certificate only if you want to run HTTPS (SSL).

The post is classified under PowerServer Web subcategory of the Q&A. She means using the PowerServer product to deploy a PB app to the Web.
