Hi, everyone.

I'm trying to save a datawindow to Excel in Powerbuilder 2019.

There is a character column has big number data in a datawindow.

After I save the datawindow to excel, then the column are show as below.

The number in a red circle is real data and I want to show real data after open the excel file.  




I'm looking forward to your help.

If you want the cell(s) containing large numeric values to actually be numeric values, then you will need to apply a format to the cell(s) as Sivaprakash has described.

If it is acceptable to have a large numeric value be a character string in the cell, you can try prefacing the numeric value with an apostrophe ('). I know this works when entering the data in Excel, but I've not tried doing this from a DataWindow via SaveAs. In the below screen shot, cell A1 contains 6006272447551, and cell A2 contains '6006272447551. The exclamation icon indicates the numeric value is this cell is formatted as text or is preceded by an apostrophe.

Have you tried to set the format in excel
