Hi All,

I have migrated my power builder 10 application to Power builder 21. Now I am trying to migrate my PSR files to version 21.

I have downloaded Infomaker 21. Can anyone help me to get the migration steps?

Thanks

Rohith

There was a small change to the PSR format in PowerBuilder 8.0 build 7063 and PowerBuilder 7.0.3 build 10102. Any file created in those versions and higher should open without a problem in a version of InfoMaker or a PSRViewer app that is an equal or higher version.

A PSR is viewable by any PSR viewer that is the same version or newer.  No reason to convert anything.

Hi Mike, I tried to migrate PSR from Infomaker 10 to Infomaker 21 which is not successful. I will try exporting it directly as you suggested.

who are you getting these psr's from? They should be upgrading their PB version too - it is well over 15 years old - It's from one of the very old product. We are in the process of upgrading PB to PB21 and PSR to infomaker 21 compatible

did you actually try to open a PSR from version 10 in your version 21 PSR viewer?

Hi Mike/Smith,

I was able to rebuild PSR. There was an issue in the PB10 version of PSR itself. Some paths mentioned in the PSR(hardcoded paths) was obsolete. So build of PSR was failing in PB10 version itself. I modified that code in PB10 version, rebuilt it in old version, then did a migration to new version.

I was able to build the exe of PSR.

Your help is really appreciated.

All you have to do is write a simple app that assigns a PSR file to a DataWindow control and then saves the file back to disk as PSReport!. The updated file will be in the version of the app.

Hi Smith, let me try this one too. I think you are talking about a custom windows program.
