Resolved How do I use SOAP Web Services in PB2019?

I have a requirement to access a SOAP Web-Service from PB2019. SOAP techniques are listed as obsolete and therefore not supported. How do I access a SOAP Web service then?

Hi Brett, Use the HTTP Client so you are using a supported client and benefit from TLS 1.2 security and many other new features of the HTTP Client.  Here is relevant tech article: https://community.appeon.com/index.php/articles-blogs/tutorials-articles/2-powerbuilder/236-call-soap-web-services-using-httpclient-object

Hi Brett;

FYI: If you use the HTTPClient route and the WS is returning an XML data stream ... you'll need to use the PBDOM feature to parse out the datum.

  The SOAP based web service is still all there in PB2019. It's just that it's not being enhanced.
