How can I make a vertical line in powerbuilder that occupies the entire size of the page from the header to the footer.

Thank you.

Como puedo hacer una lineal vertical en powerbuilder que ocupe todo el tamaño de la pagina desde el encabezado hasta el pie de pagina.

Hi Luis;

  1. Turn rulers on in the DW painter
  2. Add a line control
  3. Place it in the background "layer"
  4. Stretch the detail band down past the page length (ie 8.5") starting it from very top
  5. Stretch the line to the full length of the DW vertical area you need
  6. Move the detail band back to its original position.

That should do it visually & when printed.

HTH

Cool tip. I have never used the Background or Foreground layer properties for a control before. I can think of one or two DW's that I have made over the years to mimic Government forms that would have been simplified using that approach.

Same here Andrew, I'd always would have put some vertical line in the detail which would connect / overlap enough with the next rows to make it look like an uninterrupted vertical line. LOL.
