Hi Rins;

  Yes those two URLs must be open (accessible) along with Port 443 in your firewall. The other issue could be related to your organization's use of a proxy server. If so, please enter the proxy information in PowerServer's "proxy" settings accessible in the AEM console.

Regards ... Chris

For your laptop, just make sure that your Anti-Virus / Firewall has those URL's open & for port 443. I use Windows Defender, do that's easy to Google on how to do that.

The trial is for 2021 version whereas OP is using older version. No trials are offered for older versions.

Absolutely... just download and install PowerBuilder 2021 (instead of 2019 R3) and use your trial email account to login: https://file.appeon.com/download/Installer/PowerBuilder/PowerBuilderInstaller_bootstrapper.exe

Please note that PowerServer 2021 is inside of PowerBuilder 2021, and all you need to do is check all the modules in the installer.

First step would be to go through the quick start guide and make sure that works before you do anything else: https://docs.appeon.com/ps2021/quick_start.html

Hi Rins, The problem is because you are using trial version.  You need paid license to use older versions of PowerServer.  The trial is only for PowerServer 2021 version, which is included with PowerBuilder 2021.  We no longer sell old versions of PowerServer to new customers.  Please use your trial to test our PowerBuilder/PowerServer 2021.

Best regards,
Armeen

Hi Armeen .... Unfortunately, he wanted to test the web feature - which PS2021 no longer supports. I was talking to him on LinkedIn as well. He needs PS2020.

Our sales policy is not to sell obsolete versions unless already have at least one license, no exceptions. 2021 version is much better than older versions for deploying to Windows devices. We can discuss offline if further questions.

No problem ... That makes sense Armeen. Just an FYI as to what Rins was trying to accomplish.

@Rins: with PS2021 though, you can now try building "cloud" based PB apps instead. :-)
