We have no parameter set to turn off Network button.  We cannot see code behind; Not sure why some users can see Network button and some cannot.  Please help!

Hi Brenda;

  This could be a "Windows Policy" setting. You might want to check this with your Operations Support team. Policies can be set by Domain, Group, User, etc.

Chris,

I have my System Administrator helping me with this.  There are only 2 users out of over 2,000+ users who do not see the Network button.  We have looked at everything on our end to figure this out.  We have deleted the Active Directory account for the particular user and re-created exactly as the other users from this group. This is on the Citrix Server.

These users are not on our Network.  They are on a different Network and we are trying to get with an IT Security person from their network.  They say its our issue and to figure it out.

When that function is called, does it look at Citrix Server Windows Policy or the local users machine Windows Policy?  TY, Brenda

Hi Brenda;

Sorry, I am not a Citrix user / developer - so I cannot say. :-(

However, I would put money on the issue being Citrix. Does it work if you run the App "As Admin" or using a backward compatibility mode like W8 / W7?

You might (I'm not sure) have to set a registry setting. Compare the value of a user for whom it works with the value of a user who doesn't see the network button.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"EnableLinkedConnections"=dword:00000001

See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/it-pro/windows-server-2008-R2-and-2008/ee844140(v=ws.10)

regards,

MiguelL

Nice find, Miguel! I hope this helps Brenda. Brenda, if you create this Registry key/value, the documentation states that Windows must be restarted for the key to be recognized.
